It is a new day and that new day brings new insights. Unfortunately, it also brings new problems like how to work with citations. Urgh. I know.

But you are lucky to have stumbled upon this article. This is because I know all about writing in MLA format, and I can teach you all about it. From formatting to citations, we will cover it all.

Yeah. You will feel as if you are getting tutorials from a professional essay writing service. I will give you all the tips that people don’t care to talk about.

So, let’s get you started.

Step #1: Adjust Margins

First things first. The margins of your document will need adjusting according to your format.

So, in MLA, there is no issue as MLA style works with default margins, i.e., I inch on all sides.

But just check them from the layout column to be sure. “Layout” can be found in the Menu Bar of your Word document.

Step #2: Cover Page Details

MLA style does not have a cover page.

So, details like your name, etc., will have to be adjusted on the first page of your paper.

The top left corner will include your name, instructor's name, course number, and the date in this precise order.

You will also include a header with your last name and the page number on the right side of the page.

Step #3: Look at In-Text Citations

MLA in-text citations are not complex at all. I can even tell you about them.

You add the last name of the author and add the page number in front of it. So “(Michaelson 54)” means that author Michaelson has said so and so on page number 54.

If you have more authors, then add the word “et al.” after the name of the first author.

Step #4: Look at Work Cited Page

This one is complex. You will need a professional paper writing service to truly understand this one. But I can try to explain if you want. Here it goes.

Your Works Cited page will contain the references of all the sources used in your paper. All of them. So, if you have taken some information from a book, then add a reference to it here.

Step #5: Note Down the Citation Details

The Works Cited page includes lots of details that you will have to note down.

Like the author’s name, publication details, the volume number of the journal article, its DOI, and many other details.

Note the order in which they are written and which ones are italicized, and which ones are not. You can ask someone to write my essay for me if you need help in citing the sources.

Step #6: Also Note Line-Spacing and Other Details

In MLA, other formatting details are important too. Like the fact that you have to indent the first line of every paragraph.

Or that the line-spacing is kept at 2.0, which is double the default spacing.

Any pictures or graphs that are added are properly labeled, and headings have a format of their own.

Step #7: Start Typing

That’s it.

Now, you know all about the important details in this type of format. You know the things that you need to look for and the ones that you need to improve.

You are now ready to start typing. So open up your Word document and start adjusting it as I have told you. Go back to Step #1.

But don’t forget this.

You can always ask for help if that is what you need.

Any online essay writer service will help you understand the dos and don’ts of the MLA format. It’s very simple once you get the hang of it.

You can ask for a Works Cited page from these services to get you started. If not, then you can even order an essay.

They will do whatever you need them to do.
